I'm Now for Gun Control!

With the e-mails and memos from the justice department showing that the reason for initiating "fast and furious" was to help further the gun control cause I have changed my view on gun control.  I now do believe we should have gun control.  I think the government should be required to tell the public why they want to purchase guns.  Any government agency must file an application to the senate and house to purchase guns.  The application must disclose how many firearms the federal government intends to buy,  which angencies they will be given to, and the purpose for the purchase.  The application must be made public and there should be a mandatory waiting period of at leat 30 days before congressional approval in which time public comments must be taken and considered.  Yeah, I think gun control is a good thing, at least in reference to the federal government.

What Happened To Personal Convictions.

If I hadn't already lost any and all hope that our government still had people with personal convictions in it I'm sure not any closer to changing my opinion on that after the last couple weeks. Obama's new Health and Human Services Secretary Gov. Kathleen Sebelius from Kansas is one of them most Pro-Abortion Governors in the United States. She has stood up for and has accepted many donations from the likes of such people as late term abortionist George Tiller, a man who practices abortions up to 9 months into pregnancy. Sebelius even hosted Tiller at the state capitol.
So what?... you say. This is a liberal Governor doing liberal things. You're right, but that's not my problem. My problem is that Sen. Sam Brownback from Kansas a very Pro-Life Republican actually supported her nomination!!! One of the most Pro-Life (or so I thought) Senators just supported one of the most Pro-Abortion Governors for a post that deals directly with abortion and it's oversight because she was from the same state as him. How stupid stupid is that? I guess his convictions are only convictions when they are politically beneficial. I'm hoping the people of Kansas step up and let Sen. Brownback hear about this horrible act of hypocrisy.
So now I guess pretty much nothing would suprise me. I mean this is like the NRA getting behind the banning of firearms because someone who owned a gun wrote the legilation.
I guess convictions can be sold and we the people will probably once again give our Representatives a free pass.

Common Sense Died.

So we're in an economic down turn. The housing market has led us into this because banks were lending money to people who couldn't afford to pay it back and sold it to get rid of it. Then the banks who bought the bad debt were left hanging because people couldn't pay the debt. So we got into this mess by lending money.
Fast forward a few months. Our govt. says these banks that made and bought the bad debt are too big to fail and if they stop lending money(which is what got us to where we're at now) then our economy is going to tank. So what do the brilliant people in our govt. do??? They give the banks a whole bunch of money that they are supposed to use to lend to people. Ok, so if lending got us into trouble how is increased lending going to get us out of this trouble? That would be like saying, "Oh, you're drunk and you need to sober up so you can drive home. Here is a bottle of whiskey this should help."
That's the way I see it.

The Swine Flu.

I've become more sick hearing about the swine flu than most people get who have contracted it. The media and government must really like to spread fear with as much time they've given to this flu that has infected so far less than 200 people in the US.
I personally think that the swine flu came from all the pork that was put into that last stimulus package. As Dave Ramsey said, "The last administration tried to bailout stupidity and this current administration is trying to stimulate stupidity."
Anyways, less than 200 reported cases of swine flu in the US so far. Did you know that there are approximately 6,000 abortions a day in the US. That is 4 abortions a minute. That means there have been more babies aborted in less than 1 hour than the number of swine flu cases recorded in the U.S. so far.

Prov 6:16-18 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an ABOMINATION to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among the brethren.
There has been a lot of innocent blood shed in the US, and that blood cries out. What will be the end of the United States? I'm not exactly sure, but if we don't repent and change our ways it isn't going to be pretty.
